Loosen the screw that holds it on. Pry the side clips far enough apart to pull the top off. Use some coarse steel wool and clean out all of the corrosion. Put everything back together. Still broken? Take the switch back apart and drive around. If it still sounds with the button apart then you need to start replacing wiring (as long as the switch looks OK). Good Luck!
